Falcon's Nest
At the Raptor Foundation, we have 5 self-contained standard rooms and 2 luxury rooms. All rooms are self-catering & contain :
- double bed (one room has two single beds)
- bathroom facilities - inc. toilet & shower
- kitchen facilities - inc microwave, kettle, toaster & fridge
- all bedding & linen provided
The rooms are ideally suited for any visitors who wish to attend our twilight flying sessions and are unable to travel back in the evening. They are also suited for anyone attending our experience days or simply for anyone who wishes to visit us & would like to have somewhere to stay the night. The rooms are available throughout the year, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day (though our tea room will be closed on those days), making The Raptor Foundation an ideal place to stay if you are visiting friends or relatives in the area over Christmas & need somewhere to stay.
The cost of the accommodation is £40 per night for the standard rooms and £50 per night for the luxury rooms (additional sofa beds are available at £5 per night). Please contact us to find out more about the availability of the rooms and for weekly rates. (Printable Booking Form).
Breakfast is additional, from £1.50 - £3.50 pp, and is available from the Silent Wings tearoom.
Camp Site
In addition to our accommodation rooms, we also have a small basic camp site. The camp site currently has access to a toilet & water. As with the accommodation rooms, our camp site is available to our visitors and to anyone who simply wants a place to camp. The cost per night for the camp site is £5, breakfast is available from the Silent Wings tearoom. Please note, normal admission prices apply if you wish to enter the Raptor Foundation to see the birds.

Gift Shop
Our gift shop is open throughout the normal opening hours of The Raptor Foundation. We have a large stock of souvenirs and books for you to remember your visit by.
Silent Wings Restaurant
In 2002, our new tea shop, looking out onto the centre, was opened. The tea-room is open daily, serving a selection of hot and cold foods, from 10.00 am through to 3.30pm.
Disabled Access
Access to The Raptor Foundation has been designed to be easy for visitors in wheelchairs. All parts of the The Raptor Foundation open to the public are easily accessible by wheelchair. We do have a small number of wheelchairs for loan to visitors who feel they need to borrow one, please ask at the Gift Shop on your way in. Both wheelchair user and their pusher/carer are entitled to reduced rate entry.
Indoor Flying Area
Our Indoor Flying Area, situated between the gift shop & the new accommodation rooms is now completed & in use. We can now continue with flying some of our hawks and owls when the weather is too bad for the birds to fly outside.
The Children's Playground
A children's playground has been created in keeping with the natural surroundings. Perfectly located adjacent to the restaurant and the fish feeding area, it comprises all the fun elements for active children including climbing frame, rope swings and a slide and offers a safe and interesting environment in which to play.
